I spent the morning doing a four mile walk in support of Breast Cancer
Awareness and Breast Cancer Research. The walk was held at a local
mall and was sponsored by Starbucks. They provided free coffee (mmm)
and donated money to the cause on behalf of all that participated. It was
a lot of fun and we had a great turn out!
New Pedometer

I just bought my first pedometer. I love it!
It not only keeps track of my steps, but the amount of time I have
walked, the total distance and the total calories burned. I tested it
this morning and it's pretty darn accurate! I am thrilled with it :)
My Sister is on YOAD
My sister, who has been watching my wife and I grow smaller and smaller over
the last year, has decided to start YOAD along with her family. She just
finished reading the book and she called me yesterday to say she was
starting to clean the house of the bad stuff. I wish her all the luck
and the best and I know she will be successful at it!

Marshall that's wonderful that your sister is on YOAD!
That was a great thing you did , walking for breast cancer!
About the pedometer, I also have one I love! I haven't been using it though since I joined the gym, I really have no need for it now....shame...it cost lot's of moneys. I even took my aerobic step graph out of my blog.
What brand did you buy...I can't tell from the picture?
On the screen resolution, I know mine is set at 800 x 600 on this dinosaur computer, if I set it to typical the words are way to small...but before you moved the book over to the other side I could see everything.
When you had your menu on the side bar did you just make a template and just add to it? Thinking of doing something like that for my exercise. I did a stair machine at a different gym yesterday, I went up 62 flights of stairs in 10 minutes...my knees hurt today, I may be to old for this crap...lol
My Saturday was ok, went to the gym and then work, I wanted to go today but my @&%**DH called to say there was 1 1/2 hour frost delay and he wouldn't be home in time. So I said so you get to do what you want to and I don't? He said but you get to work out everyday. It's ruff being the Mom, all the responsibility is on me. So I don't get to go, what he is doing is more important. Do you play golf Marshall? Something tells me you're one of the good guys when it comes to making your wife happy!
Lexie doesn't feel weel today , if this continues she wiil stay home from school and I won't get to go to the gym tomorrow either....I feel so much better when I go!
Sorry for the rant...
Have a great Sunday with your wife!

Let me see..it says Sportline Pedometer model 344. It's really nice.
The menu wasn't really a template I guess. I will just continue to edit it each day and leave the same box there.
Nope..no golf. My wife is more into sports than I am. LOL. She is the football watcher in the family.
I do try to make sure she is happy We both enjoy the same things and do most of our activities together include playing online video games.
She is working today but I am off. I am cooking chili tonite with Extra lean beef and organic ingredients. It's going to be great :)
Be good :)
Hey there, Orlando.
Good news about your sister joining the YOAD movement. I bought the book for my father this August, after I started the diet. He's about 360, and needs to do this...but it has to be on his time. The question is...how much time do you cheat yourself at 360...
Anyway, have you seen the pedometer recommended by one of the YOAD doctors? If not, here's a link to the amazon.com listing for the item. My current pedometer is a cheap one from target that clips on my belt, and it has taken more than a few hard trips to the floor in the past month that I've owned it. A pedometer with a "safety cable" seems like a good idea. And $20.00 isn't so bad.
Chris that's the pedometer I have, only I payed 40 bucks for it at CVS.
I love it, it counts aerobic steps taken also along with miles and calories. Marshall , I haven't heard of your brand but I am glad you got one you love!
Check ya tomorrow, hope the chili turned out awesome!

Actually, my wife and I were too tired to cook so we pushed making the chili back to tonite. We had dinner out at a restaurant called Sweet Tomatoes. Not sure if they are in your area. Basically it's a vegetarians dream place. Huge salad bar with home made dressings and bunches of healthy soups. It was good! :)
Check back with ya later.
